There are now a few British shows for kids that have come to American shores. And you know what? they are surprisingly good.
At this time, there are two shows that the little ones in the house really like. There are Peppa Pig and the Octonauts. I love these two shows and so do the kids which is why I've been looking for Octonauts toys to get for my 3-year old's birthday this November.
I can't believe how cute this show is. I even find myself watching it with much enjoyment when the kids are watching it. I have even learned a thing or two from the show. Have you ever heard about Snapping shrimps and Vampire Squids? Well if you haven't, then watch the show and you'll be fascinated by it all.
On a different note, the kids are back to school. This is always bittersweet for me. On the One had, I like having the free hours without the kids to do my work, without the kids asking me to play. On the other, I had a really good and fun summer with them and know I'll miss them a lot.
And guess what? It's jsut getting dark where I am. And cold too.. After Almost 10 years of living in this "mountain" and the winter still catches me by surprise. The nights are getting colder and the early morning walks to school are just as cold as well.
The thing is I don't mind Autumn all that much. Walks during the day are much more feasible and we can finally get our bicycles out in the weekend. The 5-year old is beginning to enjoy the cycling and getting braver every day too. He even mentioned last week that he wants the training wheels off his bicycle soon.
How quickly they grow. It scares me sometimes. The 5 years of his life has past so quickly and I can't imagine the next 5 years happening just as swiftly. Then he'll be 10! And yet in my head, he's still that little baby, barely 2 days old, lying down so quietly, so good, barely crying in the hospital with me.
Now he wants to go on a bicycle ride without training wheels! My! My!
